We spent a glorious week on an aggressive road trip through Northern California, driving about 850 miles, with 3 young kids—and used 2 nights at Seal Cove Inn to provide a very restful wind-down before our flight home.
We had a restful couple of days at the Seal Cove Inn. Such a quaint little inn adjacent to the most magnificent, magical little forest. It is a short distance to see seals and also whales, if you are lucky. Close to Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. Great shops and restaurants to visit.
This is a beautiful, comfortable Inn. The room has all the amenities. The property and surrounding area are spectacular. The best part of the Inn is the way the staff makes you so welcome. I always feel like I’m visiting their home.
Getting married at Seal Cove Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
