From the reviews
I went to visit Elizabeth City a few weeks ago and wasn't too sure what to expect. This brewery was great! They have a huge space, they even rent the upstairs room for weddings and other activities and it looks awesome. The beer is delicious, the staff is really friendly and the views of the Pasquotank River.
Great addition to Elizabeth City! Plenty of atmosphere with inside and outside seating. Beautiful views of EC harbor from ground and second level balcony. Could easily accommodate 300 people without feeling too crowded. Intimate seating and open areas with stand-up tables too. So much character and atmosphere.
Sometimes you just stumble upon a place by complete accident when you aren't in a hurry to get home. We had gone to a distillery on the way home. The lady told us about a local rodeo that had food trucks. We went. My food truck server was wearing a hat from here. I inquired what it was and where it was.
A delightful waterfront brewery with live music and food trucks, plus decent brews. We have enjoyed this riverfront setting twice now. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, clean, safe, nice people and a great little spot. It’s dog friendly, but not overrun with dogs. It’s family friendly, but not over run with kids.
Getting married at Seven Sounds Brewing Company
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
