Shadowland on Silver Beach is an incredible Lake Michigan wedding venue. Working with Nicole, Rysa, and the rest of the team was such a pleasure. From our first meeting with Nicole, we knew we were in good hands. Answering countless emails and many phone conversations, all with a caring and genuinely kind attitude.
If I could give 6 stars I would because Shadowland certainly earned extra credit during our pandemic wedding planning journey! I can't say enough good things about this venue and staff. We learned through our Covid wedding planning that Shadowland will stop at NOTHING to give you the best wedding reception possible!
We had our wedding this past August at Shadowland and it was the perfect day! We loved working with Jasmine and the rest of the Shadowland staff. They were all so professional and Jasmine was so responsive. We had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 and they made everything so smooth.
Got married here in October and it was amazing. Nicole and her staff are so friendly and helpful. They take care of EVERYTHING. The wedding was perfect, I've heard so many people say how good the food was, I can't say enough. Get married here, it won't disappoint.
Getting married at Shadowland on Silver Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
