From the reviews
I could not rate the rooms because I did not stay there. I dropped my daughter off to her prom. The only reason I took away a star is because the parking and pick up/drop off area was so congested and confusing.
You can’t beat the location. Especially for events in the waterfront. We were there for the tall ships and it was perfect. We watched the fireworks from the club room. Staff was great. Everyone greeted us. The sharp dressed manger shook my hand when he introduced himself Valet was awesome.
Nice hotel, pretty clean, but not detailed. Parking is in a garage down the street, and you pay by app. Very nice walking area and beautiful Waterfront with Navy warships. Food and beverages are at premium prices. I only gave 4 stars because the hotel is super busy and noisy, it was hard to relax.
Omar at the Sheraton Waterside in Norfolk provided exceptional service during our stay for my baby sister’s wedding weekend. He took the time to give my family a rundown of the weekend entertainment, shuttle information, and even shared personal recommendations about local restaurants for our rehearsal dinner.
Getting married at Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
