From the reviews
Sunnyside Beach Park is a wonderful spot for a relaxed family day or a small gathering. The volleyball courts on the sand are fun, the kids’ playground is nice and well-kept, and there are plenty of picnic tables and a covered area with a grill — perfect for a BBQ or birthday party.
This small picturesque park is a nice little area where you can go and take children to have some fun! This park includes a volleyball court, sand you can play in, two play areas, and swing set. They also have nice clean bathroom facilities and the park is clean and very well-maintained.
This place was great. We had a work outing here and used the covered patio area along with a grill and a picnic table. Everything was super clean it was very peaceful other than the occasional train rolling through.
This park is quite lovely with waterfront views and a small beach if the tide is not high. It has bathrooms and picnic tables. It’s quite popular. The erosion of a small sea wall has caused a small collapse so it could use a bit of TLC.
Getting married at Sunnyside Beach Park
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
