From the reviews
The location was absolutely stunning and I cannot begin to recommend Sam enough! We had my wedding there and she went above and beyond to help us get ready and make sure that everything went smoothly. It was beyond perfect! Beautiful location, amazing service, highly recommend!
I shot a wedding here a few weeks back, the location is amazing, the staff is fabulous! Their vendors all came in from Salt Lake City, of course they were all fabulous. The venue provided a little microphone system for the Ceremony which worked well. You cannot find a more beautiful backdrop for a wedding either.
I am a wedding planner and coordinator, and coordinated a wedding here this past weekend and it was INCREDIBLE! the view for the ceremony is stunning! The staff (specifically Sam, Judy and the team) are incredibly helpful and amazing.
These place was such a beautiful place to stay for our winter/spring break! We were there mid March and although there wasn’t much going on due to it being the off season, we found it perfect for us. The rooms, the beds, and the living area met are needs perfectly.
Getting married at Sunrise Resort & Event Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
