From the reviews
Sunset park is a very interesting little park just at the end of ocean blvd in key colony beach. Every night people who are staying around the key colony beach area come and fill up the space to watch the sun go down off of the Atlantic Ocean.
A tiny and peaceful park, if you want peace, this is your kind of park. If you don't make it to Key West to see the sunset, this little place has it. You definitely have to see the sunsets here. The sunsets are stunning! You will be surrounded by mostly locals who are quiet and very welcoming.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sunset Park in Key Colony Beach is pure magic. The sunsets here are exciting, breathtaking, and jaw-dropping—the kind that make you stop mid-conversation and just stare.
For the last sunset of November … yeah, I’ll take it! If you’re looking for that postcard-perfect Florida Keys sunset, look no further. This landmark spot is truly something special. As the sun slips down behind the horizon, the sky lights up with soft pastels and warm golden tones that feel almost unreal.
Getting married at Sunset Park
Sunset Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
