From the reviews
We had our wedding here after a long pandemic process and at every step the sunset terrace staff helped us. On our day Sherwin and Debra were attentive and on top of everything. We didn't need to worry about coordinating our other vendors into the space, the food was absolutely delicious, and the day was magical!
I got married and had a reception here. It was wonderful. I am very glad we picked this venue. Great indoor space with lots of lighting (windows and open doors), on the water with a great sunset and view, and very well priced for NYC. We didn't want a closed in standard banquet room and this was perfect for us.
Had our wedding reception here and this place has to be one of the best hidden gems the city has to offer. You have to walk through the ice skating rink to get into it so I'm pretty sure a lot of the guests were like huh? But when u get inside it's amazing. The staff did an amazing job keeping the guests happy.
This is an excellent very spacious venue for a gathering. Amazing views of the Hudson River, New Jersey, and the sunset. I can’t speak to the food, but the space of the place itself is wonderful. it’s just a little tricky to find within the Chelsea Piers complex. I would highly recommend it for any large party.
Getting married at Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
