From the reviews
My recent overnight stay at the Surf Lodge was an absolute delight! Beginning with the sun-speckled drive to the property nestled in the hills of Stinson, to the minute I (reluctantly) checked out, it felt like a home away from home.
What a beautiful gem in Stinson! Incredible location, easy and short walk to the beach with all the amenities within reach. The cabins are beautiful, with comfy beds and everything you need for your stay. Service is awesome, and we got to enjoy live music and a cheese tasting onsite the weekend we were there.
What an incredible find! This little place is an absolute gem. Great for relaxing in Stinson Beach or using it as a base to explore the area. Everything is impeccably designed down to the tiniest thoughtful detail. Clean, comfortable, and just a wonderful spot.
We had a wonderful time at the surf lodge! We stayed for the weekend in the smallest room of the bungalows. The room is tight but it had everything we needed. Comfy bed, nice TV (we’re big TV people so it was nice to have a decent size TV right in front of the bed) clean bathroom with a nice shower, and lots of towels.
Getting married at Surf Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
