This was a solo trip for me. Surfside is very clean and very peaceful. The property manager was very responsive when I had questions and the owners are so kind. I used public transportation to get around, it's only $1.50. The views from my window and the sound of the ocean were so calming.
We recently brought 35 people to this retreat because our previous summer camp plans fell through. Mrs. Cindi, Iris, and everyone there were terrific in arranging our getaway. The location was quiet and close to a supermarket. The beach was gorgeous! The facilities themselves were quite nice as well.
We’ve had a great time here. This is a convenient place and a beautiful beach. The owners are very friendly and love God so much. Will come back soon.
Beach is pretty. Never been in the resort but met some cool kids there when they're in town.
Getting married at Surfside Christian Retreat
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
