My partner proposed to me at this place. The hotel staff assisted him in numerous discussions and arrangements to make everything look exactly as he pictured. The day turned out to be perfect. I cannot describe how touched I felt when I walked into the room in surprise. The balcony view is simply astonishing too.
Incredible location. Even better view and fantastic service. The hospitality has an old school energy to it which was so well received given how far hospitality has fallen. Newspaper delivered with your coffee in the morning. Sunset cheese and wine. All around 10/10. Highly recommend.
I have stayed here twice now and have loved both stays. Being right over the water you can't help but think OF COURSE SO MUCH AMAZING MUSIC WAS CREATED HERE - It is a very special location and this is a special hotel capturing the magic.
Getting married at The Inn Above Tide
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
