Wow! I was truly blown away by the beauty, the amenities, and the hospitality at The Inn at Tabbs Creek. Within minutes of booking (late at night even), I was contacted about a mobility restriction I had so that everything could be just right upon my arrival.
With 3 visits to Tabbs Creek already, we are beginning to consider our next trip. It's about an hour & a half from Richmond and worth every mile. I'll begin with the owners/creators of the Inn. They are certainly two reasons to return. Both are dedicated to making our stay pleasurable and easy.
This was our 4th time at The Inn and it never disappoints . Sherry, Ridge and Sarah were amazing host and were there for anything we needed. The rooms are WOW!! Just amazing !! What they have done with the decor is absolutely perfect . Did I mention the views. Breathtaking sunsets.
I attended a charity event today at the Inn. Everything about the experience was excellent! Sherry stepped up to make the High Tide Tea to raise money and awareness to the Mathews Riverside Rehabilitation Center! Thank you to her staff for serving us. The Inn is beautiful! I highly recommend a visit to the Inn.
Getting married at The Inn at Tabbs Creek
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
