My wife and I just reluctantly returned from the Island Manor House B&B on Chincoteague Island. We enjoyed 5 nights and 5 awesome breakfasts at the Manor House. The hosts, Lin and Sam, simply are everything one could ever ask for in a B&B or any hotel host and then some!
Took my wife there for our wedding anniversary. Stayed two days and did the high tea. We loved it and had a great time the place is beautiful and the food fantastic. We have stayed in a lot of B&Bs and we like this one the best. We will most def be back!
After deciding to elope, we searched for a place that would make our day special to us. Luckily we found this place. Lin is great with communication and took care of everything from Captain Spider to flowers to dinner reservations. She exceeded our expectations.
Getting married at The Island Manor of Chincoteague
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
