My husband and I recently stayed here and loved the location. It is beautifully tucked in the live oaks on the oceanfront with walking distance to local conveniences like restaurants, coffee, bike rentals and liquor store! It’s an older hotel but the ambiance and old historic charm appealed to us.
The King & Prince was our wedding venue this past October, and everything from the service and location to the food and responsiveness was phenomenal. We can’t recommend Sarah, the event coordinator, highly enough. She worked within our budget and helped bring our dream to life.
We had a fabulous time at the New Year's Eve Party. It was spectacular! So great to party, bring in the New Year and then walk to your room. Beautiful property, beautiful setting on the beach. Staff was amazing.
Getting married at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
