I wish I could give the Ritz Maui service more than five stars. Just got back from 11 days there with my husband and we loved every minute. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left, every single member of the Ritz team was outstanding - proactive, friendly, thoughtful.
Stayed here for five nights in March of 2026. We had a Fire Lanai/Ocean View/Pool Access, which was perfect for our family of four (kids 10 and 13). The lanai gave us more than double the space of the room itself, allowing us to spread out and have easy access to the pool and lawn games.
I’ll start by saying that the location is gorgeous and this place has a good amount of things to offer. I will say, the rooms were very basic for the price. 95% of staff were absolutely wonderful, but of course that other 5% is very memorable as well. We went for the Maui Music Festival and it was INCREDIBLE.
Getting married at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
