We decided to attempt a quick getaway at the end of the season and found The Sand Castle on LBI had a room available. Its a beautiful house that Nancy and her staff keep ship shape, with even the wood floors looking spotless and freshly polished.
Spent a lovely weekend here with family. Located in Barnegat light, about half a mile from the lighthouse. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly. Each room is unique and individually decorated. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Bath and pool/beach towels were provided as well as bicycles and beach chairs.
I was very pleased with all aspects of our 4 day stay at the Sandcastle B&B on LBI. The host Audrey was phenomenal. The location was beautiful. Great views of the Lighthouse, wonderful pool area, upper deck was wonderful for sunning. The breakfasts were one of our morning highlights.
Getting married at The Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
