We had our wedding at The Sands on June 25, 2022 and it was the most magical day. We had a beautiful beach ceremony, followed by the reception in the main ballroom upstairs. The day was perfect. The service my husband and I received as well as our guests was 5-star.
At every step of the way, Lori from The Sands took such good care of us and made our wedding day absolutely PERFECT. I first contacted The Sands in desperate need of a date since we decided last minute to make our Dec 2022 wedding a fall 2021 wedding due to a family member’s illness.
I attended a wedding here last night. The venue was beautiful, and the affair was very nice. I indulged a bit too much in the food, though, since I couldn't resist. I gained over 5.5 pounds in one evening. If you are coming here to lose weight, you're in the wrong place.
Getting married at The Sands Atlantic Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
