I was in Seaside for a business trip. I had booked at a different hotel thinking I was getting a non-pet friendly room and when I arrived at my destination realized quickly that it was in fact a pet friendly room, and they did not offer a non-pet friendly room option.
We love it here, it's super nice and not too expensive the views are pretty good. Part of it feels like I wish they would just spend one more summer just finishing a bunch of random details there's a few spots of exposed drywall and just other small little things that could be resolved with another once-over.
Love this hotel, great views and really nice rooms (on the 3rd and 4th floors, not sure if the rest of the hotel is updated). It's warm, quiet, cozy and I love getting take out from Finn's and enjoying my closeup view of the ocean. The spa tubs are also wonderful!
Loved our stay!!! The spa tubs are AMAZING and location was perfect! Walking distance from main strip, but just far enough from the crowds and noise. There's even a trail down to the beach right out the back entrance.
Getting married at The Seaside Oceanfront Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
