I stayed at The Shores for a work conference. I was really impressed overall! My room was clean and comfortable (if slightly dated) with a beautiful view of the coast. The beach access was a big plus, along with the beautiful deck & pool area. I loved that there was complimentary yoga, bike rental, and s'mores kits.
This hotel is in a perfect location, right along the beach. We were in town for a book convention being held here and I can easily say the valet staff was the highlight of our experience.
I have several years of hotel experience under my belt and I have to say this property is absolutely fantastic on so many different levels! I value guest service, cleanliness, comfort, and location to name a few. Melody, Kim, Aaron, Michelle and Robert were absolutely fantastic.
Getting married at The Shores Resort & Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
