From the reviews
This is a very nice resort! My brother got married here on Saturday and reserved the resort. The Staff were very friendly! Food was very good. They had shuttles to get to town and back! I had a great time.
$2,000 a night setting — $200 a night rooms. We stayed at the Wauwinet for four nights over Labor Day weekend, and would highly recommend — with one caveat re: price. The positives (many!): First, the staff are delightful. Helpful without being too officious and just make you feel very welcome.
Absolutely phenomenal! The Wauwinet is the perfect haven to bask in the beauty of Nantucket. Tucked away in a serene spot between the ocean and sound, it’s an unparalleled retreat for relaxation. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff?
Beautiful setting and comfortable hotel on the bay. Extremely pricey, but the relaxing setting makes up for it. We enjoyed the extra amenities of using the property BMW for a half day and riding into town on the house boat
Getting married at The Wauwinet
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
