Our Halibut was perfect and our waitperson was helpful as was all the staff. Trumpets is located on the water and the views were spectacular. Although it was foggy and raining when we arrived, the sun and a rainbow came out before we left. They are following Covid regulations such as masks for the staff.
We took my mother out to enjoy a delightful pre-holiday dinner at Trumpets on the Bay in Eastport. What a treat! The photos don't do justice to the waterfront view or how beautifully the restaurant was decorated. Professional service, excellent meal. Truly a special night out, highly recommended.
My husband and I went here for lunch and it was terrific. Mary, our server, made the experience wonderful. The grilled Filet Mignon with creamed spinach and scalloped potatoes was perfectly prepared. The margarita to start was excellent and we shared some crazy decadent chocolate creation for dessert.
Getting married at Trumpets on the Bay
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
