Our stay at Viceroy Santa Monica was fantastic and felt like a true vacation from start to finish. We stayed in a junior suite with a sea view, and it was absolutely worth it—bright, spacious, and incredibly relaxing, with beautiful ocean views that set the tone the moment you walk in.
Had a really nice stay here. The location makes everything feel easy—close to the pier and the beach, so you’re never far from the water. Service was consistently solid the whole time, and the space itself has a clean, coastal feel without overdoing it.
this hotel deserves a higher rating than it has. the rooms are quite nice, and the lobby is well designed with modular seating. the views out the front when the sun is setting are really lovely. but the biggest thing is the staff are all so wonderful and helpful.
We recently stayed at the Viceroy in Santa Monica and were blown away with the room, staff, and service. A very special thank you to Shanique who gave us an incredible water view upgrade and was unbelievably kind and thoughtful throughout our stay. Can't wait to stay here again!
Getting married at Viceroy Santa Monica
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
