From the reviews
Stayed at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and had a great experience overall. The amenities really stood out, loved the complimentary 2-hour bicycle rides each night plus the beach setup with two chairs and an umbrella included.
I expected much better from a hotel at this price point. Charging $68 per day for parking is excessive, especially when guests are already paying a premium to stay here. Even worse, valet parking is mandatory, so there isn't a self parking option.
Do not let the recent bad reviews deter you from staying here! We are travelers who stay at only 4/5 star resorts and the W did not disappoint. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, poolside/beachside food was delicious and the location cannot be beat in Las Olas.
Get past the 30$ per night you must pay for parking and you've got yourself staying at the best hotel on the beach. The rooms are impeccable as is the service. The rooftop pool and amenities are flawless.
Getting married at W Fort Lauderdale
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
