We stayed as a family of 5 for the first time last summer. Exceptional staff, great location being able to walk to the beach, shuttle is wonderful to have, and loved the restaurant and bar. We were able to rent bikes and explore. Top notch!
Winnetu Ocean Resort – A Slice of Vineyard Magic for Families We had the most incredible stay at the Winnetu Ocean Resort — a place that doesn’t just welcome you, it wraps you in a warm hug the moment you arrive. What truly sets Winnetu apart is the *people*.
Whether you’re visiting the Vineyard for the first time or like us have been going for almost 40 years, you will really enjoy the Winnetu Oceanside Resort. The staff is top notch, the amenities—pool, hot tub, tennis courts, etc were great and The Dunes restaurant offered excellent food and atmosphere.
We had the best stay at the Winnetu! So many small details really made it an amazing stay. The rooms were spacious, CLEAN, and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the front yard watching the kids play. The walk to the beach was so nice! There were so many activities for the kids, including the kids club!
Getting married at Winnetu Oceanside Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
