Alhambra Hall was the perfect wedding venue, my parents were married here and I was able to also get married here in May 2019. The venue was recently updated and has the most perfect bridal suite. The grooms suite is really small so my husband only used it for a short time leading up to the wedding.
I’ve been photographing weddings in the Charleston area since 2015, and Alhambra Hall is certainly one of my favorite venues to work at. The on-site getting ready suites are spacious compared to others in Charleston and a great asset to minimize your need for transportation throughout your wedding day.
Truly a great space. I attended a wedding on the lawn and it was perfect. The catering space was well organized and staff were extremely friendly. Parking was easy and despite a few too many people walking dogs through the ceremony, the experi nice was fantastic.
We got married here so we may be a bit biased. I’ve been taking my dog here for years and knew I’ve wanted to get married here. 5 years later, here we are. If you’re looking to bring your dog for a beautiful afternoon or host an event, it’s the perfect spot.
Getting married at Alhambra Hall
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
