After 13 consecutive years fishing in Alaska, we can't recommend Apex Lodge and Charter at Pelican, AK enough. Fishing as a husband and wife, we have fished the Kenia River 4 years, the Inside Passage 4 years, and the Pacific Ocean with Apex 5 years.
We have fished with Apex for 4 summers now, and this organization is top-notch in every way. They create a unique experience in terms of the fishing, accommodations, food, transportation, and care for their guests.

I had the pleasure of staying at Apex Lodge in Pelican, AK, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience!! From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel like you are at home. The lodge is cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained with stunning views of the surrounding nature.
Getting married at Apex Lodge and Charters
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
