Beautiful property and beautiful views of the ocean. It's like being in a forest on the beach. The boardwalk gives you an amazing view of the sunsets. The Cafe has so many food options and has good coffee. My sister had her wedding here and the staff were amazing!
I really enjoyed staying here, the food and service was great, rooms were clean and the location is honestly just unbeatable. The white sand, misty air and atmosphere just create something special you can’t find anywhere else, I highly recommend everyone staying at Asilomar.
Truly the best experience we’ve had anywhere in years. Asilomar is for you if you love nature, the ocean, beautiful architecture, and community. Matthew, Samantha, KC, and Storm provided fantastic service. They were warm, welcoming, attentive, and kind. The rooms are simple. The linens were clean and crisp.
If you don’t mind the more rustic accommodations, this place is an absolute gem. We were able to get a last-minute mid-week reservation for us and our teens at a very reasonable price. The 1Q+3Twin room gave everyone their own bed. The pillows weren’t very comfortable - might bring our own next time.
Getting married at Asilomar Hotel and Conference Grounds
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
