From the reviews
I think it is important to be fair with reviews. Astoria is an older town, and the Riverwalk Inn is an aging motel and literally right above the West Marina and if you are a fisherman or going on a guided fish trip this is a perfect place to stay.
Perfect location, restaurant in less than 5mins walking distance. Staff were amazing. But the room while huge was dirty & the curtains were broken. The sign directly outside in view was flickering, the curtain was broken & hanging so it didn't close all the way.
I’ve stayed here several times and absolutely plan to keep coming back! The price is fantastic, the listing is spot on, and the setting is truly beautiful. I like to look at the ducks and boats from the small balcony.
The location of this hotel can't be beat, and it has beautiful views from your room. The rooms are a bit dated, but they serve their purpose and are clean. Staff is super friendly.
Getting married at Astoria Riverwalk Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
