From the reviews
My daughter and her husband had their wedding reception here, one year after a small ceremony due to covid. This place speaks for itself - it is right on the Columbia river in Astoria, and is truly a loft with wood beams, beautiful lighting, and rustic wood tables.
Just had my wedding reception here. Space was beautiful! Venue was super easy to work with, and had plenty of amenities that came with our rental package. Tables, chairs, flatware, glasses, plates—it was a great deal!
The Loft at the Red Building is a gorgeous venue! We recently held our wedding and reception in this space and needless to say, it did not disappoint! Working with the owner, Brianna, was a great experience all around.
Can't speak of value as we weren't involved in the financial aspect of the event, but it offered a wonderful, trendy event experience. We attended a wedding/reception here and it didn't disappoint. Staff seemed adequate and efficient. Very clean, and trendy upscale.
Getting married at The Loft at the Red Building
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
