From the reviews
Our family recently stayed at the Avista Resort in North Myrtle Beach, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From start to finish, it provided the perfect backdrop for a wonderful Independence Day weekend. We stayed in a suite that was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable.
This was our 1st stay and will definitely be back. It exceeded all my expectations. Full kitchen with all the amenities. Lots of room for all the guests and the view of the ocean was the best part. The staff were very friendly.
Never been in a hotel that went above the 3rd floor so experiencing the 10th floor for the first time was amazing. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and even got to witness a wedding while in our rooms. The pools looked clean and felt refreshing.
This hotel is great for anyone with small families. If there could be one improvement, I wish that Tage was the poolside bartender every day. He is the Isaac Washington that we all hope for when we go on vacation. I only had the pleasure of seeing him a few times but wish he was pool or beach side all day!
Getting married at Avista Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
