From the reviews
We spent the day on Block Island for Fathers day. We had lunch at Ballards and our server Sasha was top notch. She was on top of things and very friendly. Then we came back later and sat at the bar on the beach and Latoya took excellent care of us. Such an amazing day thanks to both of these young ladies!
Perfect spot to grab a meal before heading back to the mainland! The chicken lettuce wraps were a fantastic starter, and the entrées were just as delicious—I left already wanting to come back. Pair that with the gorgeous beachside view, and this place is the ultimate place on Block Island for dining!
Great place to grab a mudslide and food for lunch! Beach side view under the shade. Wife and I had flatbread and island power bowl. We both enjoyed the food, the mudslide, and virgin pina colada. One thing to be careful for is they automatically charge 18% gratuity. both you receive the bill.
Had a great time but wouldnt go on a holiday weekend as management doesn't limit the amount of people into the beach. We waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our food, and it wasn't accurate. The water was the perfect temperature and the waves made it more enjoyable.
Getting married at Ballard's Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
