Is this a fancy five star hotel, no, but is it the best value you're going to get with the best view in SB, yes, it is. Conveniently located right next to Potawatomi Park and overlooking Sturgeon Bay itself and the shipyards. It is a delight to hang out on the shore and enjoy a beer in the evening.
All in all a pretty good stay. Had to ask for new sheets and blankets on pull out sofa because they were dirty. Lots of bugs in your room, but I do understand that is lake life. Everyone woke up saying their backs hurt from the beds. The fish boil they have is by far fantastic and delicious! Would definately recommend.
I had a positive experience during my visit, choosing this location to celebrate a friend's birthday. The customer service was outstanding, and the staff were very welcoming, creating a comfortable atmosphere that felt like home.
My family and I really enjoyed our Door county trip! Beach Harbor Resort is awesome! The staff are very friendly! They also have Waterfront Mary’s Bar& Grill next to them. That place is great too and they had a fantastic band play there called the Witch Doctors! Definitely worth staying there!
Getting married at Beach Harbor Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
