From the reviews
Quiet and beautiful forest setting, a short drive to town. Very comfortable self-contained 2-storey cabin with well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Very clean and easy to stay at with two small children and two dogs. Quiet place to sleep with good darkness for sleeping even in high summer.
We stayed in their large cabin and had an excellent experience. The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating to our family needs. There are five beds upstairs and a large bathroom. The main floor has another toilet, well equipped kitchen and large fridge.
The cottages are set on a hill in a very wooded area. Parking is minimal so only 1 vehicle per unit. When I opened the door I instantly fell in love. It was very roomy and warmly decorated. I liked the self serve atmosphere. The office was closed when we arrived.
Amazing place to stay in Haines (probably the best place we stayed on our whole road trip from Salt Lake City to Anchorage so far). Owners are very nice and helpful. House is spacious and very nicely done with great artistic touches. Location is superb right next to Chilkat State Park trails.
Getting married at Beach Road House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
