From the reviews
Amazing views of San Francisco, Mt Tamalpais, the Golden Gate, Bay Bridge and more! The walking trails are good and are reasonably well spaced out to allow for social distancing. Love the place!
I consistently love the view from the Berkeley Marina and waterfront area. There is plenty of close in benches to sit and rest or trails for walkjng and kite or sailbkat viewing. Parking really varies. At times, i have seen multiple spots on a Sunday afternoon and sometimes it is packed on a Saturday evening.
So so soooo pretty!! I bet it would be a perfect place to watch the sunset. 10/10 recommended if you don’t have a car, live in Berkeley, and want some nature-ish spot to sit and read 🥰
Great views. Great paved and un paved trails. I love Berkeley,. I recently moved out to Marin county and I miss living in the East Bay, at times. But, regardless I find joy that I get to spend one day a week out there thank goodness for a scheduled commitment!!
Getting married at Berkeley Waterfront
Berkeley Waterfront is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
