I don’t even have enough words to express how incredible our experience was with Boothbay Playhouse Events. Sara, John, Amanda, and the entire team truly knocked it out of the park for our wedding. It was an absolute fairytale, and we could not be more grateful. My husband and I got married here in August 2025.
I had my wedding here just a few weeks ago and there isn't enough good things to say about this venue or the wonderful people that care for it. Sara and Amanda are SO communicative and thoughtful, both when planning and on the day of. They're reliable and precise, and I mean it when I say everything went perfectly.
I had my wedding here a few weeks ago & it was PERFECT! Every single thing went off without a hitch. Amanda, Sara, John and the rest of the event staff were incredibly on top of everything and made us feel like we were the only bride and groom in the world.

The venue itself is stunning, with an atmosphere that felt both intimate and grand, perfect for such a special day.
Getting married at Boothbay Playhouse Events

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge.
