From the reviews
Cape Henlopen State Park is one of the best destinations in Delaware. The beaches are clean, wide, and perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or fishing. The trails are well-marked and offer great hiking and biking through dunes, forests, and marshes.
Really beautiful place to visit! Beaches, an observation tower with beautiful views of the surrounding areas including the Lewes beach and lots more. We were even lucky to see a of pod of dolphins from the beach lookout point.
Great place to bring the kids fishing or playing on the beach all in one area. There is a little bait shop for all your fishing needs. Pack a lunch bring your favorite beverage!! Lots of people to meet of all ages.
Beautiful state park for camping, hiking, bike riding, swimming or just a walk on the beach. Very relaxing, clean and enjoyable place to visit. Great to see dolphins in the summer and seals in the winter.
Getting married at Cape Henlopen State Park
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
