What couples highlight
“My first experience with this place was wonderful; the front desk staff were super helpful and friendly, even went the extra mile to go buy a bottle of wine for our engagement celebration!”
“The rooms were spacious, plenty of parking, location phenomenal to get around easily whether walking around downtown Lewes or driving to and from the surrounding area.”
From the reviews
Room 402.... exactly what I wanted. Top floor, great view (coffee at sunrise), clean room, quiet and COMFY bed. Friendly and helpful staff and you can't beat the 10% discount guests receive at the local liquor store! Bath salts were a nice touch, too. Thank you for a great night stay.
Nice spot, great location. Our rooms (Admiral's) were great - 2 floors with kitchen, living room, bathroom on bottom and 2 bed/bath up. Deck overlooking canal. Only downside was noise from rowdy boats and bars.
The inn is absolutely lovely. The rooms are very nice, spacious and spotless. The staff are really nice and helpful. Love that it is in downtown Lewes where you can walk to the great restaurants. The views from the rooms are good. You can see either the quaint town or the canal.
Great location and beautiful views. The service was excellent. Nice people with good advice about where to go. Also created us very kindly when one of us got sick.
Getting married at The INN At Canal Square
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
