From the reviews
I've stayed at many amazing places in some of the most scenic spots in Europe and North America, and there are none I like better than Chito Beach Resort. My wife and I have returned to Chito several times over the past few years and each time it's amazed us in new ways, from the ethereal varieties of light to the…
Chito Beach Resort is a jewel of a place for those wanting to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Salish Sea. As with the former owners, the current owners ensure it is a quiet, peaceful experience by limiting guests to ages 18+ and not allowing pets.
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful spot on the Straits of Juan de Fuca at the end of June/early July -- as a base of operations to visit Cape Flattery/Makah Reservation and Museum; First and Second Beaches; Hoh Rainforest; Sol Duc River and Falls; and Crescent Lake.
This place is an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. hidden gem, just found this through Google maps and we are so glad we stayed here. The Castaway cabin has the best view of the beach for sunset, love the balcony facing the ocean!
Getting married at Chito Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
