From the reviews
We had a most wonderful experience at Clam Gulch Lodge at the start of our Alaska vacation. Gary and Pam were warm and inviting hosts. We came as guests but left as family. We had a communal dinner (halibut, salmon, razor clams) one night including a sunset trip to the Clam Gulch beach (below the lodge).
Gary and Pam are just terrific people. What great hosts! They set.up my dream trip and then topped it off with "care about people attitude." Clean space and WOW the view!!! Insanely beautiful. Thank you both of you. Matt
Book your stay now!!! This place is amazing were so well catered to. It is spotless and comfortable. We even got reindeer sausage and gravy with biscuits! You can see three volcanos from the cliff views in their backyard.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The meals provided were delicious, varied. They even allowed for my diet restrictions, which was a pleasant surprise. The view is beautiful and can look different every time I look up.
Getting married at Clam Gulch Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
