From the reviews
This is a special place that I almost don't want to write about because it won't be a secret. If you have a chance, sign up for their sunrise events, which take place about 6 times a year. If you are lucky, you will see an amazing sunrise in an incredible setting.
I finally paid a visit to the Deering State. It’s a perfect activity to get disconnected from the busy city. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults but thanks to the Miami Dade Library Museum Pass, I was able to visit it for free.
Deering Estate is truly one of South Florida’s hidden gems. Tucked along the edge of Biscayne Bay, this historic landmark offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, rich history, and peaceful serenity.
Deering Estate is an amazing piece of property started by Charles. It is quiet and peaceful and if you go now you may get to see Manatees, the people who work there are super nice and we happened to get luck and meet their amazing collection of reptiles thanks to Elias/Elijah/Isias not sure how to spell his name.
Getting married at Deering Estate
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
