Dream Inn is by far the best hotel in Santa Cruz. From the moment we arrived, the valet was incredibly welcoming, setting the tone for the whole trip. Guest Services really looked out for us, too—they accommodated our request and put us in the exact same room we had last time!
Hotel was wonderful- room had an amazing view- the staff were all attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend. Great place for walking to town, boardwalk, perfect for those who love to walk!
This is my favorite hotel in the entire world. All rooms face the ocean. Fun retro vibe. Clean and bright. Kind and welcoming staff. Great pool and hot tub. Beach access-- literally on the beach! Short stroll to the boardwalk. It is literally the best.
I had the pleasure of having Brandon Howard (manager) assist me in getting set up with a reservation for my family and had nothing but the best service. He was very pleasant to work with and went out of his way to accommodate my family and I.
Getting married at Dream Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
