From the reviews
Our wedding night at La Bahia Hotel & Spa is something my wife and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. After our ceremony, our entire wedding group came to La Bahia, where we had our wedding dinner at High Tide Restaurant and then stayed the night.
Our trip felt like the best ever. It was right up there with our experience at Four Seasons Bora Bora. The food at low tide was amazing. We ordered in room dining, and also went down to the restaurant right as they were closing. Everyone was so sweet and welcoming.
As a lifelong Santa Cruz local, it’s been exciting to see La Bahia come back to life. The renovation beautifully balances the property’s historic roots with modern amenities, creating a space that feels both elevated and authentically Santa Cruz.
Getting married at La Bahia Hotel & Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
