From the reviews
I took my 14yr old son to his first concert at the DECC. It was my third time seeing Redman & Method Man. The show was great, but the staff was something else. I will remember how nice and engaging they were for a long time, granted most people had grey hair in the crowd. My son had questions, and they answered.
From January 27h to February 2nd, this was the location of the 2025 USA Curling National Championships, where the winners go on to represent the US on the world stage. Fun fact, this was the same venue that 50 years ago, that Team USA won the Silver Broom Championship (later called World's Men's Curling Championship).
We were here for my son’s hockey tournament and had a great experience at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. The rinks were clean and well-maintained, and everything felt organized from the moment we walked in. Staff were friendly and helpful, whether we were finding locker rooms or asking where to go next.
It's a very large building so I recommend arriving early to your event so you can get oriented. It's a long walk from one side of DECC to the other. Lake superior is on one side of of the building (east side) where you can see the ships sailing and watch the waves.
Getting married at Duluth Entertainment Convention Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
