They're actually two separate camp areas on Edisto Island. When is featuring beachfront camping and the other one features camping on a salt marsh not far from the beach. We were there for 6 nights and had a great time this campground is not too busy this time of year during the week but fills up on the weekend.
Stayed 3 nights in the beach campground. The site was 47 an ADA site so it was concrete and level. Not all the sites are that level so be prepared. The bathhouses are very well kept. The beach access is very easy from any of the sites. The beach is wonderful.
Adorable little southern beach town! I’ve been here many times because we just keep falling in love with Edisto for its gorgeous views and wildlife. The State Park has many convenient facilities for a perfect day (or week) at the beach.
The campground is a new favorite! A beautiful beach with easy close access, level campsites and really clean bathhouse. A great gift shop, environmental learning center and miles of shoreline. Beautiful trees, abundant wildlife and peaceful.
Getting married at Edisto Beach State Park
Edisto Beach State Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely).
