From the reviews
Resort is lovely. Very family friendly. Indoor pool is small, but heated; perfect for when it started raining. Outdoor pool area is big, with an adult only jacuzzi. Resort is located at a harbor/marina, so no beach access here. There is a free shuttle to take you to their private white sand beach about 5 minutes away .
Spectacular place. We stayed in a large 3 bedroom unit with individual bathrooms, full kitchen, dining, and living rooms, and a wrap around balcony overlooking Destin. It was absolutely gorgeous. The boat shuttle to the beach was so much fun and thr exclusive beach was so beautiful.
Condo was nicely done. Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. Parked the car and never needed to leave. Lots of shopping and restaurants below are the Harborwalk. The balcony also had a wonderful view of the water and the pool. It was nice to only have to carry a cooler to the beach.
The EG is a beautiful resort with great amenities: onsite parking garage a well equipped fitness center and more (the internet/wifi was not great, however). Our rooms were really spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished.
Getting married at Emerald Grande
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
