If you're wondering whether the Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis set the standard for luxury hospitality, I can honestly say that after this stay, **Fairmont Gold at the Fairmont Orchid has completely redefined it for our family.
This truly feels like paradise on earth. The location is absolutely magical—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning, beautifully maintained gardens. The vibrant colors of the ocean, dramatic lava rocks, variety of birds, and plenty of perfect spots to relax and soak up the sun make it feel like a dream.
We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Orchid. The hotel is very well kept and all the staff are very friendly. The pool and beach staff were always friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. Malia was especially kind. She helped us with chairs and towels each day and was great to talk story with.
We just returned from an incredible stay at Fairmont Orchid. The property is beautiful, classy and upscale. We loved the powder soft sandy beach and the snorkeling was exceptional. The lush grounds were beautiful and the overall ambiance was unmatched. Dining at Brown’s was excellent at sunset hour.

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
