The place is a beautiful, quiet place that sits right on Stringfellow with the canal in your backyard. Owners are present and attentive to everything and anything. Very personable with the people that stay in their places. Location is wonderful as you can enjoy a few restaurant is walking distance.
We stayed here for four days a few weeks ago. Very happy with the room and location. It was very clean and had a screened in porch overlooking the water. It is also in walking distance to quite a few restaurants. Only one suggestion, bring your own pillow, theirs are not comfortable.
I loved my 30 day stay at the Golden Palms. The hosts provided such a warm and welcome atmosphere it was hard to leave. Each room designed on an island theme with clean and comfy furnishings, beautiful canal views and lots to experience within walking distance. I can’t wait to do it all over again!

Getting married at Golden Palms Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
