My husband and I got married at the Golden Sands on July 13, 2024. My family and I grew up staying at the Golden Sands for our annual family vacations and it was always my dream to get married there. My husband and I live in the Scranton area, so we were not familiar with vendors in Maryland.
From my very first tour of The Atrium Room at Golden Sands Resort I knew I wanted to get married here. Not only is this venue affordable for those on a budget, but the beach area is so beautiful for ceremonies!!
We can’t express enough gratitude to Melissa and staff at Golden Sands for making Tess and Brad’s wedding such a beautiful, joy filled day to remember!! The venue is absolutely breathtaking and the perfect location for a beach wedding.
We got married at the Golden Sands on November 8, 2024. I can’t say enough great things about the venue and event coordinator, MELISSA. The reception room is absolutely stunning and presents with natural beauty - you don’t have to stress decor. The view from the 22nd floor is breath taking.
Getting married at Golden Sands Ocean Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
