We just had our wedding here this past weekend! We rented the entire resort for the weekend and everyone truly enjoyed it! It’s not too often you find a waterfront property that has pretty much everything you need! Rooms were clean, the game room was fun and the views were amazing!
Seriously cannot recommend this place highly enough. Moe and his team are amazing to work with and made the weekend incredible. We had our wedding there, and it was so easy with Moe. The place was clean, had great amenities, and anything we needed Moe handled.
My wife and I are one of Moe's first weddings when he just got the property. He worked non stop to do what he could for us. He is a gracious host and made sure we had the best time. Despite being the dumbest thing I have ever done in my life it is a great spot.Be careful who you decide to Marry!
My family and I stayed here last week for our family reunion. This resort was absolutely perfect for our needs. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had been nicely updated. (We stayed here many years ago before it was taken over and updated and this is such an improvement!
Getting married at Great Lakes Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
