We had our wedding party stay at The Lake Huron Lodge last weekend. (We stayed there too). This place is amazing! Everyone loved it. It is very modern inside and everything you need is available. Paul and Gordon (the owners) give you codes to the entrance doors and to your own room and then leave.
We had a wedding there and the place is beautiful, spacious and close to everything. Just a few minutes walk to the lake. The owners are wonderful people who are kind, accommodating and always helpful. The room was large and beautiful itself, the bed was great and so comfortable.
This is the perfect location for a nice beach getaway in the charming town of Lexington. My hotel got canceled that I had booked through AirBNB and in frantically making phone calls to find a new one and save our trip, I found the Lake Huron Lodge. They gave us their last suite available.
Excellent location for a visit to the Lexington area. The hotel old but in good condition and very clean. The managers communicate well and are very responsive to requests. Linens were comfortable. We will definitely stay there next time we’re back in the area.
Getting married at Lake Huron Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
